Club Captains report - Nov 20

Created on Sunday, 10 January 2021 17:42

Regional members have been lucky to be able to attend some rallies, which we have organised at short notice.

Travel restrictions were lifted for regional Victoria allowing The Gippsland rally to go ahead, a couple of phone calls, accommodation organised, Jim and Neville planning the daily rides we were set to go. Unfortunately the Krusty Rally, which was to be held in Mittagong NSW was cancelled due to travel/border restrictions. We replaced with a ride to Omeo were members rode up from Gippsland and North East Victoria meeting in the middle at Omeo. We spent an extra day in Omeo with Neville taking us to an old mine site and once again taking us on some excellent roads with great country views.

I would like to thank both Neville and Jim for helping make both rallies a success, this commitment from our members makes the club what it is.

The Christmas Party this year which was to be held Alan & Geraldine Fagan’s house has been cancelled due to restricted numbers allowed for gatherings. We have replaced with a Christmas Rally to be held in Wangaratta where on the Sunday we will have Christmas lunch at Remel 185 in Whorouly.

Rubicon rally will be held once again on the Australia Day weekend, we can only accommodate 30 people at this event. We will only take the first 30 entries we receive.

If you are thinking of going to any rallies please send your entry form in by the required date as there is a lot of organising required and without the numbers it makes it hard to organise catering.

We are looking at doing a Queensland rally in 2022 please send in your expression of interest if you wish to attend by the due date.

Rides will be organised at short notice as restrictions get lifted so keep an eye out on your emails for details.

There are now very shiny hidden Indians that can now be ridden.

Keep safe.

Maurice.
