Club Captains Report - February 2017

Created on Monday, 17 April 2017 11:26

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year.  The club has had a few busy months and more to come this year, which is great to see.  It shows how our club is so enthusiastic.

First we had the Technical night at Richmond TAFE, it was a good turn out of people that came to see how an engine is overhauled.  A lot of questions were asked, a big thank you has to go out to Bruce from Richmond TAFE for having us and setting up the machines so we can see them working as they are supposed to.

The club Christmas party was held this year at Conor Murphy's place, Santa made an appearance in an Indian sidecare of course to hand out gifts to the kids including the big ones as well. It was a geat way to end the year.

To start this exciting year off the club had the Peter McAliece Memorial Breakfast Run.  It was good to see so many members turn out for this run, there were also members from the Vintage motorcycle club of Victoria who attended. Thank you to Dave Booth for organising the run, if it wasnt for people like Dave helping run club rides and rallies the club wouldnt be what it is today and into the future.

A few Melbourne members went up to the Goulburn Rally held by our NSW chapter.  The Great Race was held with the club being well represented.  It was good to see new faces and also second generations of families entered, it show's the vintage motorcycle movement is in good hands.  Also INDIAN won the Great Race, a great effort by everyone.

In the months to come we have the Cherokee and Brgiht Rallies.

Until next time ride safely.
