Club Captains Report - Nov 2016

With the bikes ready to ride, the last few months have been busy for the club.  Jim Micah had a great, cold and wet weekend at the Gippsland Rally with a great turnout of members.  The Yass Rally was held for the NSW members also a wet weekend for them, thanks to Garth Popole and Ian Pryde for this weekend.

The weather changed to sunshine for this years Krusty Rally held at Raymond Terrace NSW, a huge thank-you to Jason and Rebecca Elliot and the rest of the Elliot family for a awesome weekend, what a rally, everyone had a great time, I didnt hear one bad word about the weekend.  Everyone was asking are we coming back here in two years time? Jason has agreed to host the Krusty Rally in 2018, so yes we will be back.  A Thank-you also has to go to Garth Popple and Ian Pryde and family for helping Jason with the Rally.

The coming months are going to be even busier for the club, Rob Bonner has organised a tech night at Kangan Batman TAFE in Richmond on the 17th November, Bruce one of the TAFE teachers is going to explain how to overhaul a performance engine using specialised machines that no other TAFE has.

The Bendigo Swap is coming up, Jim Parker will have his site (No. 112) for club members to catch up throughout the weekend, Conor Murphy is hosting the IMCA Xmas Party this year, a spit roast will be supplied, BYO salads and drinks.

In the New Year we have the Peter McAliece Memorial Breakfast Run, also the Cherokee Rally which will be held at Warrnambool, with the help of Alan and Julie Mansbridge who have local knowledge of the roads.  If you havent already please book your accommodation for this weekend as the motel is only holding the rooms for us intil the 19th of November. Details are in the magazine please let me know when you have booked so we have an idea of numbers.  The Bright Rally will be held again on the Labour Day weekend 2017, the Motel is only going to hold the rooms for a short amount of time, when you have booked can you please let Mai-lei Dunston know, details in the magazine.  Until next time Ride Safe Bianca Bonner.
